The trail
From sea-level to sea-level
- Hi, I'm Sander, and Zero to Zero has been my 2413 km thru-hiking dream in the making for quite some time. I'm absolutely determined to make it a reality in 2024.
- More specifically, I will venture into crossing the Alps on foot from the coast of the Adriatic Sea in Triëste (Italy) to the coast of the Ligurian Sea in Monaco.
- I will do this in a philosophy of staying as high up in altitude as possible, mostly in alpine terrain and traversing many alpine summits.

Discover the Alps with me
- The Alps and mountain ranges in general are beautiful in every aspect of what they represent. I want to take this opportunity to showcase people this beauty from the most remote places.
- Sadly enough, the Alps are also challenged tremendously and climate change can be stared directly in the face here. Therefore, this trail is also a mission to show the impact of climate change and the challenges it represents.
